The July 27, 2007 issue of Entertainment Weekly had an article about Comic Con in which, although they mentioned Klingons and Renaissance costumers, they referred to us as a "blog-savvy army of early adaptors..."
What I like about that phrase is that it evokes pocket-protectors and horn rim glasses, while actually making us sound kind of cool and hip.

I'm not sure what an "early adapter" really is.
I'm okay being a nerd . . . the problem is that most people don't accept that I am one . . . I guess there's just too much non-nerd history behind me.
What other cons are you going to? After we get through moving (first of August) I'm open to hit one or two this year. I might even register and everything. Although, now that I'm a nonfiction memoir blog writer, I don't know what I'm going to find of value.
