Wow! What a wonderful response! I agree with you totally about gender bias. I did not know Andre Norton was a woman for years after I read her first book! I believe she truly pioneered women in the SF/F genre, but had to use a male name to do so. Also, I am finding more and more SF/F books in what I consider the Romance section of book stores. It is like they don't know what to do with a woman SF/F writer so they lump all of the paranormal writers into Romance. Silly booksellers!
