Sad News (Sort of)

I got some bad news from my agent yesterday afternoon. It seems that Peguin is _not_ interested in more stories about Ana Parker, alas. So, ALMOST EVERYTHING will be the final installment.

Luckily, I've been down this road before with the Garnet Lacey series, and I actually wrote ALMOST EVERYTHING as a possible ender for the series. I had HOPED to write another set of books in which Ana is the Queen of the Vampires, and then another triology where she's the Empress, etc., etc. all the way up to Goddess, perhaps!

But, I guess she'll always just be a princess. :-)

The silver lining is that I'm still hard at work on PRECINCT 13, so you can look for more things by me in the near future. I'm planning to propose a sequel to PRECINCT 13, as well as something, as the Monty Python folks would say, completely different. So... fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear that, Tate.

I haven't been buying a lot of books lately, but I am thinking of chasing yours down in spite of the guy stigma. ;)

It sounds like something my household might be interested in.

In any case, keep up the good work and high spirits. I always enjoy our conversations.

No, no NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I picked up the books a couple of weeks ago and finished both of them in just a few days. I was so excited to see that a third one was coming out early next year and now I'm ticked!

I'm with Eileen, Hailey Lind found a new publisher for her (their) Art Lover's Mystery's 4th book. Or self-publish. Just don't give up!

:( This is such a huge bummer. Ana has seriously become one of my all time favorite book characters. Would you consider self publishing them, or like Eileen said and find a new pub for them?
