Blog Roll Contest

Welcome to the blog roll contest!

How this works is that each author involved in the blog roll will pose a question on their blog. We will print our answers (and links to the next blog). You can participate by giving me your answer in my comments. The first ten people will receive a signed, manuscript copy of the first chapter of the book after ROMANCING THE DEAD, DEAD IF I DO (2009).

My question is:

If you could marry (or date) one character from your novels who would it be, and why?

Michele Bardsley: Patrick O'Halloran from I'M THE VAMPIRE, THAT'S WHY. He's got that Irish accent and he's really hot and he's been around for four-thousand years ... and did I mention the accent? Not to mention all that licking and sucking involved with dating a vampire. Of course, that's IF I could wrest him from Jessica because quite frankly, she could kick my ass.

Erin McCarthy: Damien from MY IMMORTAL because he owns a plantation house in Louisiana and an apartment in the French Quarter. I have a thing for quality real estate. ;-)

Anya Bast: Hmmm...just one? That's a hard question. Man... *thinks* Okay, I guess I'd pick Alejandro Martinez from The Chosen Sin (Berkley Heat, October 2008). He's a vampire with an extra special skill in pleasure giving when he takes blood (what's not to like about that?) He lives in the future and in another part of the universe, so he'd be able to show me all kinds of interesting places. We could gaze at the stars together (we'd have a great view). Plus, he's got a wicked sexy accent and would speak Spanish to me. Grrrrooowl. I seriously doubt I could get away with stealing him from Daria, though. She scares me. *whimper*

And finally.... my answer:

Tate Hallaway: I'd date Daniel Parrish. Like Garnet, however, I'd be pretty hesitant to marry anyone quite as bad boy as Parrish. If I had to pick a guy from my books to actually settle down with, I think I might pick William. Sebastian is a bit broody for me, and William seems lie he'd be a lot of fun to talk to.

What's your answer? If you could marry any fictional character in your favorite books, who would you marry and why?

I would marry Sebastian. I like the brooding, and the whole tall dark and handsome thing. I like that he's down to earth and smart, has his own interests and is independent, and that his family's so screwed up it makes mine look normal. And of course there's that whole excitement of He's-a-dangerous-Vampire-thing going for him, too.

I would date Acheron from Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series. I'm looking forward to his story!

It would have to be Vane from Sherrilyn Kenyon's Night Play. I mean he's hot and likes bigger women.

I'd like to date Louis Pointe du Lac from "Interview with the Vampire" by Anne Rice. It would be a thrill to follow him around one night and experience the life of a vampire. And if he looked like Brad Pitt that wouldn't be so bad either. *g*

I would want to marry Lisa Kleypas' character Derek Craven. He came from a poor existence and became rich by hard work and ingenuity.

I have to go with Jolene - Sebastian would be it for me. I'm a sucker for tall, dark and handsome (in theory - somehow I'm marrying a short blond - but still handsome - man, so I guess that theory's shot to heck) but the quiet, smart, independent sort gets me every time.

PS. If I could pick *any* character from a book I've read recently, (cause I just saw meljprincess's comment which seems to have opened it u to more speculation), I'd go for Jacob from Stephenie Meyer's Twilight books. He's resourceful, reasonably intelligent, tall/dark/handsome (:)), a great protector and he has a hugely strong sense of family and community.

Congratulations on all the new releases!
Hm... if I could marry any character... is polygamy allowed?! ;). I think I'd go with... shoot. Bobby Tom Denton, or Alex Markov .... [yeah I guess I'm on a SEP kick]. I like my creature comforts to unfortunately historical characters are out... I'd say Alex Markov. Less competition, and also he's brainy, an art expert, and secret royalty. And a circus man - does it get better?! lol

Bones from Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series. After Chapter 32 from Jeaniene's latest novel, One Foot in the Grave, I would love to have a few days alone with him. :)

I will pick Sean McCloud from Shannon McKenna's, Edge of Midnigt. A total hottie with humor, who adores a woman's mind as much as her body, and has the lust of a pirate.

Well, bummer! far too late for the contest, but I will answer anyway, lol. I would have to say I would want to marry Zarek from Sherri Kenyon's DH series. He had such a heartrending past, makes you want to do the "woman thing" and "fix" him!

Too late for the contest, but I'm thinking Gilbert Blythe from the Anne of Green Gables books, actually.

He was cute, smart, playful and obviously (he and Anne wound up with 5 or 6 kids) knew his way around the bedroom.

Also, a doctor!

I would definitely date Jesse from 'Easy Lovin'; he is a real Southern lover who likes to do everything slow and easy including his loving. He is also handsome and knows how to treat a woman and keep her happy.
