So??? What's the verdict out there? I blew my movie-out coupon on "Wolverine," so I'll probably have to wait to see the new Star Trek movie, but I'm dying to know... is it cool? The personification of suckitude? Somewhere in the "eh," range? What? Tell me! Tell me!!

Waaah - you were at Uncle Hugo's Saturday, weren't you?! I forgot all about it until 5 pm. :(
It is fantastic. My man and I are both into Star Trek - TOS and TNG, and we loved it. I mean, there were areas for improvement, esp. if you get nerdy about time travel issues, but overall, it's not even the same animal as the other Star Trek movies. I think you'd like it even if you're not into Star Trek.
It's ZOMG AWESOME. Of course, as long as I feel like they get Spock and McCoy right, I'm happy.
I was almost still AT Uncles' that late, because I was having so much fun chatting with everyone. You can possibly still make Eye of Horus, Chris! (It's a Saturday night! I'll post details.)
As for the movie comments, oh goodie! I'm only worried because unlike many people I'm actually a James Tiberius Kirk fan. Spock, eh. McCoy, yes! But I'm really bouyed by these reports! Thanks, too, Carolyn. I'm glad to hear you like it!
The movie ROCKS out loud. I LOVED IT!
I've always been a Spock fan, and let's just say I'm an even bigger fan now.
I clapped and cheered and OMG grinned through the whole darn thing.
When I saw the previews for it I really wasn't very excited about seeing it. But it was fantastic! It was funny and thrilling. I think they did a great job with casting for the movie. You can really see these characters become the older versions of the Trekkers you love so much. Go see it!
it was amazing...i grew up watching all versions of star trek. and they didnt break canon to do what had to be done...go see it on the big screen.
I'm an extremely mild star trek fan. To be honest, I really know nothing outside of Captain Janeway and Voyager.
But I really enjoyed the movie!
